The Savoy Hotel [ Traveler Review ]
Traveler Review :
We pulled up outside the Savoy and were met by the Doormen who instantly made us feel welcome and very special, we were taken inside where we were greeted by a member of staff who already had our names and room details.
We had a quick tour of the lobby area with bars and restaurants and were then taken to our room on the 7th floor. The room was fantastic with views over The Strand and the entrance to the hotel. Luggage arrived very quickly and our request for a DVD player (we planned on a relaxing afternoon watching a movie) was dealt with within 10 minutes.
The room was comfortable with a separate dressing area and a fantastic bathroom. Our pillow preference was checked on arrival too.
We visited the American bar for delicious cocktails and had a reservation in the Riverside Restaurant for Christmas Dinner. The service in the restaurant was again superb staff were attentive but not intrusive, but were friendly and professional rather than stuffy. The menu was good and the food was delicious. There are lots of seating areas with open fires, away from the restaurants. Again making it very relaxing.
After a beautiful meal and good champagne and wine we retired to our room, the bed has to be the most comfortable I have ever slept in! Next morning we joined the Riverside Restaurant again for a delicious breakfast before checking out and being reunited with our car and the ever friendly doormen

Copthorne Tara Hotel London Kensington ( Traveler Review)
Although a 20 minute brisk walk to reach Central London, this hotel is fantastic value.
There is a very convenient underground car-park chargeable at around £15 per day for residents. The rooms are large and nicely furnished with colourful curtains and bed clothes. Hotel staff are helpful and from the top floors there are some fantastic views of The Gherkin and The London Eye.
Complimentary breakfast and cocktails in the lounge if staying in one of the club rooms (these are slightly larger and are on the 11th and 12th floors).
There is a ticket box in the lobby for London show tickets offering exceptional ticket prices, they will also get tickets in advance for you if contacted prior to your stay.
Restaurant is small but food is off a high standard
Would certainly recommend that you check out the rates if planning a weekend in London - double rooms can be a low as £75 which is outstanding for London

The Best Hotel In The World ? [ CLARIDGES HOTEL,LONDON ]
Traveler Review:
A well travelled friend of mine had stayed here and told meit was the best hotel in the world! so expectations were very high..........
The superb service and experience started the very moment I pulled up outside the front door where I was greeted by friendly doormen who quickly opened the doors, removed the luggage from the boot and showed us to Reception. Check in was smooth, professional and friendly, we had advised when we booked that we would arrive around 12.00, this had been duly noted and our room was ready.
A quick tour of the hotel and then into the manned lift with sofa to our room on the third floor, the room was beautiful and we were offered complimentary champagne on arrival to our room. The room and bathroom were faultless and very comfortable.
We headed down to Claridges bar for cocktails a great selection was available and again staff were superb, when we arrived back to our room there was a beautiful Easter egg waiting for us, delicious too.
On the evening we had booked a reservation at Gordon Ramsay Restaurant, staff had checked the time of our booking to ensure that the turn down service took place after we had left our room, only a small thing but a very nice touch. The ambiance, choice of food, quality of food and the service in the restaurant were all excellent and we had a perfect evening.
We had only booked for one night and had arranged afternoon tea for the following afternoon at 3.00, we were offered a late check out (at no additional cost) which was lovely as it meant a lazy morning before a fantastic afternoon tea.
We have experienced afternoon tea at many other hotels and it can feel very much like a production line, not here!! the experience was relaxing and again the food was lovely with lots of choice and as many replenishment of sandwiches, scones, cakes and tea as required, again the service was faultless. What was even more impressive following our tea we stepped outside and our car and luggage was waiting...Superb!
So back to my friends comment ...... is this the best hotel in the world? certainly the best I have stayed at so far. The hotel and the food are superb but the staff and the service are what makes this place just that bit better than all the rest!
The Ritz London Hotel [ Traveler Review ]
I wanted somewhere special to celebrate my somewhat special birthday, and where better than The Ritz!
From the moment I arrived and my car was valet parked we were treated special, the Receptionist and Porters were polite and friendly (and not in the slightest bit snooty - which I thought they might be).
The room was fantastic and overlooked St James park. There were flowers, champagne and a birthday card in the room, which was lovely.
We had afternoon tea when we arrived which too was excellent, again service was fantastic and food was replenished if you wanted.
We had a meal in the restaurant in the evening, again fantastic with excellent service as was breakfast the next morning.
Would highly recommend this hotel especially for a special occasion, it is expensive but worth every penny.
Can't wait for my next Birthday as it has to be worth another visit.

After visiting Hong Kong 10 times and each time walking past this hotel and said "one day I will stay there". I finally did in September for 7 nights, the stay was fantastic.
I arranged for Rolls Royce pick ups at the airport and what a fantastic start to a fantastic week, I had a delux room, the bed was huge and so comfortable and the room had a desk with fax machine, a comfortable sofa and a flat screen TV which could be turned to wherever you were sitting, a CD and a DVD player.
The bathrooms were fantastic with a TV which could be watched from the bath, a separate shower and Molton Brown toiletries.
The seventh floor spa and swimming pool were superb, with fantastic views over Hong Kong, Friday and Saturday night a BBQ was served on the Terrace outside the pool.
The Felix restaurant is awesome with views over Hong Kong skyline and harbor, the interior has been designed by Philip Stacks and the food matches the interior...it is superb.
